Well if it is "sooo olllddd", and you don't know it, and nobody else knows it... Why do you care? Throw it away and get a new one.

As suspected, no network connection then no number.
m@Note that the telephone number itself isn't stored on the SIM card (this is how you're able to change phone number without getting a new SIM). The phone stores a unique number called a Subscriber Identity number (IMSI). Provided that you're able to connect your phone to a PC, you may be able to use PC software such as Oxygen to extract the IMSI from the SIM. Once you have the IMSI, you may be able to contact the SIM network operator & ask them to tell you which number maps to the IMSI.

Does the SIM connect to the network and display the operator name on the phone? If so then it isn't blocked. The code to find your number will be network-specific. Tell us what network it's meant to be on and we can try and get you the code.
* If it DOES display the operator name, then it's not blocked.
* If it's not blocked, then you can safely buy credit without the fear of not using it because it might be blocked.
* Once this has been done, you can ring your house phone, not pickup, then do 1471. You'll then be told your number .
That was basically the conclusion we came to on IRC, but to phone somewhere, you need credit, and you don't want to buy credit if your phone is blocked.

Like aj said, I think your best bet would be a phone shop.
Dial 999 and explain the emergency situation to them and ask for the number.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
*#100# (or *#100*# for all numbers if you've got a fax/second line) only works on Vodafone. Darn handy it is too!
hi, did no one read my last post?
If you could put the sim into another phone which can display the number, like the T610 then you could find out like that. maybe at a phone shop.
Right could a mod please close this thread, cos it's been sorted and no one seems to be reading my post which states that the problem is solved.
Cheers
So, have you sorted it yet?
