Blimey, I usually go through Liverpool Street. Good thing I went a different way today.

    Hopefully no-one is dead.

wow, this is turning into quite a big thing, just heard on Sky News that people have seen the top of a bus blow up. I was gonna travel through Kings Cross this afternoon. The whole network has been shut down.

edit: and for the first time ever you can't get to the BBC news site. It must be getting HAMMERED.

And I never thought I'd have to do this, but in case the BBC News Site goes flakey - here's a Coral Cache: http://news.bbc.co.uk.nyud.net:8090/...on/4659093.stm

Not sure what is happenning, but apparently we have casualties coming into here (a large central london hospital). This could be a busy and unpleasant day.

I've just let my dad know.

What a day to choose to be in london on business :S

I'm guessing he'll be home late tonight.

EDIT: nope, he hadn't left yet... one cancelled meeting

Aye, my dad is in london at the mo, he's just rung to say that they were all evacuated offf the underground network, so he is doing his best to get across london and get home.

I just hope that they don't have to shut down the mainline trains too, otherwise people will never get out.

call me paranoid but this happenes less than 24 hours after London gets the 2012 olypmic games.

when I worked at London (aldgate station) we had numerous terrorist alerts at the aldgate/liverpool street/ropemaker street stations and we where told that due to the location and the facilities around them these would always be prime targets....again I'm concerned by this coincidence.

    Re-cap:

Explosions at Aldgate, Edgeware, Liverpool St and Kings Cross and Bank Tube Stations.

    Entire underground shut down.

Now three separate bus explosions across London including the one in Russel Square.
