moorgate is always going to be a prime target along with aldgate and liverpool street due to the businesses around them. This was something we where always told when I worked there.
As a comment (NOT FACT OR DEBATE) the proximity of the bombs suggests a more professional style attack as it is concentrated around the financial sector and one of the main "juntions" of the tube.

phew, its ok. he stayed at home to catch a decorator that was coming round. jesus. that was close. still, not happy so many others have been hurt. this is a serious problem...and a mega-nightmare
