I've always liked Scan and there today only deals but alot of the time turned my back on them due to the delevery charge! If this works I will certainly use them a hell of alot more.

I stoped ordering from scan when i seen cheaper delivery, Yea sure its next day but even with when you would order the smallest items the delevery charge was still there in full with no other options. I like the fact that hexus have now teamed up with scan.

Re: Why don't you buy from Scan?

I'd use Scan more if they could re-assoiciate my Hexus account with their system.

I think during some upgrade of their site something happened that stopped my account working. Now when I try and associate my account through scan's online form it just says my User ID does not exist.

Same has happened for my missus's brother who spent a while on the phone with Scan trying to fix it but had no luck.

I want to buy another couple of SSD's soon too.

Really..digging up a two year old post, and posting twice in it?

Someone getting their post count up a bit to qualify for free carriage, shame the posts have to be meaningul.

Re: Why don't you buy from Scan?

Druff - Spamming your way through the forums to qualify for Scan's free postage is one sure fire way of Scan refusing your access to the offer....worth thinking about...

Edit - having looked back through your posts, I've merged the double posts and removed some that just didn't make any sense. I really don't want to be doing this in the future, so please think before you post.

Re: Why don't you buy from Scan?

As much as I love Scan I only use it for larger orders as the postage is hideously expensive to Northern Ireland (£16 for the acoustipack foam!)

Same here but we've been through this before..... I only use them for large orders but when I do they are truly great and they go out of their way for me. If they could make it cheaper i'd use it all the time BUT lets not keep digging this old thread up

    Ramedge,

I have checked the system and reactivated the free shipping on your account, therefore when you log in you should now get the free carriage offer

If you have any further issues please feel free to drop me a PM

Two? Try four and a bit.

(Yes, I know the last post, pre-resurrection, was some two years ago).

For anyone reading this that doesn't check, and especially for new members, can I just point out that this thread started some FOUR years ago. The deal is still in place, though the terms have changed a bit. IIRC, there's now a minimum £20 (ex VAT) order value to qualify. Also, a small minimum post count but if you spam post to qualify, we (HEXUS) reserve the right to delete spam posts, and the decision to authorise the shipping deal does, as it always has, lay with Scan who may not view spamming to qualify well. They can and sometimes do operate their prerogative on making this available. As dave87 said, please think before posting "spam", 'cos we don't like it.

For the current details of the facility, there are "stickies" about how to activate this in the Scan forums.

Because this is such an old thread and may be a bit misleading if not read carefully, I'll close it now.
