    You know your a geek when any of the following occurs ;

    You look at a movie trailer and think, "I have that font."

    You have more e-mail addresses than you do pairs of shoes.

    You check said email addresses when you wake before brushing your teeth and having breakfast

    If you paid £2000 for your computer and £500 for your car....

    You do your best work after 11 p.m.

    Not only is your computer in the center of your room, it's set up so as allow 'netting from your couch, as well as your desk chair.

    You can remember your domain and sub-domains quicker than your mobile number

    Lastly ... you set-up a special "name.mobile@domain.com" address just for your mobile phone

    Instead of a post coital fag, you have a post coital internet surf. Done that a couple of times before, sadly.

    Oh, you don't buy network cables, you buy a big reel of cable, a bag of plugs and make your own. I'm guilty of that one too.

    This doesn't really say that I'm a geek, but I'm sitting here listening to a couple of nerds in the cubicle next to me talking about their allergies, allergy medications, and theories about what causes allergies. That's when you know you're a nerd.

    Nerds are obviously cooler than geeks then, yeah ?

    How do we clarify the difference between nerds and geeks then? we need to have a criteria

    According to Wikipedia:
    A geek is a person who is fascinated, perhaps obsessively, by obscure or very specific areas of knowledge and imagination. Geek may not always have the same meaning as the term nerd (see nerd for a discussion of the disputed relation between the terms).
    and

    A nerd is an intelligent person fascinated by knowledge and learning. Nerd, as a stereotypical or archetypal designation, refers to socially-awkward people of above-average intelligence whose interests (often in science and mathematics) are not shared by mainstream society. People designated as nerds may also exhibit such traits as pedantry, obesity, myopia, ungainliness, High-Functioning Autism, or a gaunt physique.
    So there we have it
