I was expecting a load of Terrorist, COunter-terrorists, bombs and spray paint

Good system though. It would be interesting to see if the system can be fooled, we used to try and sit on the bottom of the pools for as long as poss when we were kids, managed to do it for 40secs.

that's impressive - i remember the days of observation windows and blokes with walkie-talkies. which are much cheaper! still - when you're down the bottom of the pool it's quite sinister seeing people looking out at you.

Thats truely impressive, £65000 is nothing compared to the cost of a human life, and the way she just went unconcious was spooky. Like she just fell asleep....

Glad the system worked and it was impressive with the timer showing amount of time underneath the water.... 34 seconds. A very good news story

That is very impressive, hopefully the pool gets a good discount on insurance for having it.

Back when I was 'fit' and could swim I could have sat down there for about a minute. I guess it'll think I'm trouble now.

Still, it's an excellent thing to have.

yeh, its good to have them in public pools

but if for some reason they become compulsary in every pool that would suck

naked swimming just wouldnt be the same - or to pyles taste, petting.....

Dude, what you do with your dog in a swimming pool is your business.

Excellent use of technology that TBH. I agree- every pool should have one, not least because the price would drop if they started to sell thousands of systems.

65 thousand pounds is a rip off. The cameras/monitors would only cost a few thousand and then you could pay someone to watch them.

How could cameras possibly spot that?

Somehow I don't think Counter-Strike would work underwater

That's not the point. The system saw the danger and alerted a lifeguard by it self.
