Gotta be the odd one out and say I don't like it tbh

Me too. Everything is in too many sub forums. Before, you could look at the main forum page, and see if a forum had been posted in by looking in the last post bit next to the name, but since everything's so compacked now, you might be looking at forums you don't want to (if that makes ANY sense ).Originally Posted by Knoxville
I agree with what was said above also. The help section shouldn't be at the top. That's not the main focus of hexus, so hardware/OS's/gaming should be at the top IMO.
David - when I tried when I posted that, it said insufficient privilages. I'll try again now .
EDIT - this is what I'm getting when I click "new thread":

To be honest, I think there is also some inconsistancies in the way the forums are named.
Some have Hexus. before them, and others don't.
And I am not too sure why there is a need for having Hexus. in front of so many forums name either. You get used to it, but really, it kinda make the forum look cluttered. IMHO of course.
I have no idea where anything is, i thought id landed on the wrong url. Ill keep looking and hope i get used to it.
Im not sure itll be so good for just quickly scanning to choose somewhere to post when bored or look around at random posts in the hopes of finding a gem, you seem to have to know what you are looking for.
Ajbrun, Ill look at the permissions for those forums, it was all done in a mad panic. Ill get it sorted.
As for the HEXUS. and non HEXUS., I know the answer, but I also know paul can explain it much better than me, especially as I have only been up 5 mins.
You will all get used to it I am sure. It was important that these things were changed to allow for new and experienced alike. Beleive it or not, the screen estate used for the forum index is now 33% less, loads 33% quicker and is only 2 forums less than the last layout

Well done lads.
as a "browse new posts" person , its doesn't change things much for me , but I like the faster load times on the front screen.

Ooooh turned me 'puta and thought i was having an upside down day you know when you put something down and think about where you put it and you go back and it's not there.....
It's a bit like that really
Thought I had lost half the forum when I logged on today took some time to find things, But will get used to it I guess?
Hmm, it may just be early morning grumpy head, but I don't really like it. Too many subforums, which means small writing, especially on smaller laptops. However, it is only the first time I have seen it and its not like I will leave hexus forums because of a change in look. Not unless it reguarly induces migraines................
Not around too often!
hmm *not a fan*, seems a lot more cluttered and not as logically laid out..way too many sub-forums tbh. But then i guess we'll just have to get used to it no point in complaining about something that you cant change and at the root of it doesnt matter that much

i dont like change :/ It's confusing! And it's not fair doing it so when we log on first thing when we're tired and bleary-eyed, we havent got a clue what's happening...
I spose we'll get used to it, but i still dont like it when things change
