I'l give it a go but i think that there are a few too many sub forums. Surely its better to scroll down a page and pick the forum than have to click general discussion just to get to cars and bikes for instance.

Yes, it's been made 'logical' in the sense that everything is caterorised(sp?) logically. I agree with steve though. I think it's more logical to have all the main forums on show, so you can see them all.

It'd probably confuse me.. but I browse using new posts & subscribed threads... so I won't notice much
We cannot choose what we are.. but what are we but the sum of our choices?

i can get used to it, but please use capital letters on General Discussion and shizzle just looks untidy otherwise.

I'm wondering why support forums for shops (that are linked from the shop anyway) take prominance and everything else has been squashed together (general discussion has 4 major forums as subs???). Navigating all the usual forums is ugly now....

Not sure I like it. Why is all the computer stuff at the bottom? Being a hardware review site you expect that to come first. It's a bit out of the way all the way down there.

Perhaps SCAN and the others are paying HEXUS to have their forums at the top .

My thoughts entirely, other than that the general layout is an improvement I reckon.

Also, a couple of forum titles are in lower case whereas the rest are capitalised, it looks a bit messy (ie, general discussion, as opposed to General Discussion).

Agreed - the focus of Hexus should, as far as I can tell, be the hardware and similar things, and as such should be in the top part of the forum, while the Help section is more specific and perhaps should go at the end.

Again, I agree - too many subforums make it more difficult to navigate the forums, and find what you're looking for. For example, I think there is too much HEXUS.Hardstuff. Leading on from that, I don't like the name very much (or that of Hexus.binaries)!

As others have said, the inconsistancy in names is... odd. the Capitalisation is also something I want to mention because I'm just very petty like that! Why not have all the forums with proper captial letters, i.e. General Discussion, Automotive.

I know I've basically repeated what others have said, but just letting you know my opinion - overall, it's hardly a terrible change, but navigating around is a bit more difficult now. Besides, I normally have a good grumble when there's some major forum changes!

    Mike

P.S. The title of the forums is quite long as well! In the tabs, I all ever see is 'HEXUS.community discussi...', which doesn't help me tell what's in each tab when I have ten tabs all with the same writing on!

I can see the reasoning behind it but yes it is a little confusing to start with.

Happy to give it a go though, to move forward we need to make changes so let's just at least try it for a few days to adapt

its crazy really, i can find everything ok but some of the forums such as the hardware are not where you expect them to be (bottom rather than top). The capitalisation which was brought up i didn't bother with untill i read this topic and it is now doing my head in.

Apart from that, its a great improvement

    Hmmm....

I agree with the other guy, its a technology site, therefore, the tech should be near the top so its easy to find for new people, thats what this site is about after all.

Anyone coming on the forums to made an interesting thread, might get bogged down and think of, I've stumbled upon the wrong forums, this isnt hexus forums, its scan forums !
