I had a big hairy scary monster in the back seat "supervising" my tester who was also a big hairy man. It was horrible when i had to reverse :S

From when u started lessons. I'm guessing most tests will probably be the same length anyway.

Of course, what Elmo didn't mention is that in Scotland, the driving test consists of being able to shout 'Freeeeeedom' as you floor it, and drive at full speed towords the English border with the music from Braveheart playing loudly on the car CD player.

Bit worrying that she passed then, really...

I had 10hrs of lessons after my 18th birthday but then ran out of money till my 21st (in june) when i got given a large sum and have had another 15-20 or so hours.

There's no set time, i was ready to sit my test when i booked it 6 weeks ago, but i thought the extra 6 weeks would be beneficial. Your driving instructor will tell you when they think you're ready to sit your test
