When I was at Jarmans in the evac center, there were people with dogs there.. Were they told they couldn't bring him/her??Originally Posted by headbrace
According to the BBC, there are still three left, but they hope to have them out by the end of the day.

had to leave the dog behind!? thats harsh.
its all out now arnt they, but they reckon they won't be able to go back for like another week, so where does that leave the dog?

They were allowed back in yesterday morning, so everything was fine. We are just outside the original evacuation cordon (as in, the other sire of the road), so my parents could come and go ok, providing they could prove to be residents. However, my dad went out to collect my mum from the airport, and by the time they returned, the poice had upgraded the danger level so would not let anyone in at all. This was because there was an unknown tank that could have exploded and they weren't sure. It was all sorted overnight, which was nice. All in all, very exciting stuff!

Seems to me like half the people on the other side of hemel slept straight through, including me! i woke at 9am to a text on my mobile asking if i was alright. then the news came on, and it absolutely stunned me. didn't leave the house until today, and only then because of school :/
i heard that the closest buildings were absolutely obliterated, eg shards of glass 6 inches long stuck into the walls and ceiling etc. good thing it was sunday, not monday/saturday, only 43 injured instead of the hundreds that could of been.
People reckon they heard the blast in France and Holland, though i reckon they were telling porkies
