thanx guys o yeah also i heard a rumour that last year the water tasted likes **** ... is this tru cos im plannign to bring an expandable water bottle thing and fill up when i get there. also ill be getting there friday at bout 3 - 6 how hard will it be to get space to setup tent ?

You wanna be taking the bare essentials -

tent (obviously)
sleeping bag + some kinda blanket
couple of changes of clothes
sensible shoes (no 8 inch heels )
a decent coat
torch + loadsa batteries
bog roll (this stuff is like gold dust after the first few days)
towels/soap (if you intend to use the showers)
baby wipes (if you don't)
sun cream (trust me)
duct tape

as for food/beer its up to you, last year I lugged 2 24 packs and plenty of stuff to eat and it weighed two tonnes and filled a 90 litre ruck sack, and I still had to go buy two more crates
on friday morning. You can grab beer/food at the festival but it is pricey (as are the smokes, if you smoke take your own tbh) my plan this year is to make a big run to the co-op in a taxi as soon as we get set up on wednesday and get all our food and beer that way without having to carry it halfway across the country on our backs.

the water tastes like water in my experience dude, nothin wrong with it, friday afternoon it shouldn't be too hard to still find a space but it may not be in the most premium location unless you get someone to save you a space.

Not sure what gaffa tape is for, but at download, im sure youll find a use for it.

Im quite a heavy drinker but at such like festivals you find yourself drinking more than usual, so take plenty as you dont want to be shelling out 3 quid a pint for some warm watered down carling once you get there, at reading I took 2 large bottles of vodka and a 20 crate of stella for myself and still ran out, oh yeah

gaffa tape fixes everything, ripped clothes/tent's/broken tent poles, we used some combined with a bin bag and spare tentpoles last year to make a table to play poker on in the middle of our campsite.

heh awesome, i was thinking of bringing a mini pool table this time that u can get from argos for like a fiver, having drunken tournaments, winner wins beer
