Hardly any of em know where or even heard of WALES !!!!!! Most of them that have heard of it think its a county or a place in England. THERES A NATIONAL BORDER SEPERATING THEM. Please get it right. This is from my experience.

As mentioned before football is played with feet not your hands. it would be better called American Rugby. Soccar is extremely annoying to hear. And wtf is a tom ate o all about. Y change tomato to tom ate o. After saying that, where would we be today without Hollywood, Ford, Nasa, and to be fair Microsoft to a certain extent. On the whole i like americans, but theres alot who cant get out of the "America is the best place on earth even tho i havent been or heard of any where else" attitude. Thats what i think and have to say . Even tho the flag isnt mine im totaly against seeing it burned in the middle east and some other places, if it was my flag i would want to go mental on those burning it. I also think that the haterid for america is totaly uneccisary or too much.

WHAT??!?! Thats is the most ridculous thing i have EVER heard! You must think that the JEWS deserved to Die to teach the world that the Nazi's where bad people.. sounds silly right? just as silly as what you just said. Think for just 1 sec how you would feel if your cousin/brother/mother/father was in the WORLD TRADE center iam sure you would not feel the same. Their was alot more people in there then just americans. Somthing to the tune of 2600+ people! NO ONE DESERVE'S that!!! come on now, i didnt set out to change the world or anyone's views but give me a break. Just think what would have happened if some one flew a jet into one of your buildings and killed that many people.
Oh yea and the iraqi's that died, i feel bad for them but the US didnt run into iraq and kill everything that moved... we took it easy on them we did want to kill women and childeren ( the 2 are completely diffrent) We could have destroyed iraq and not even broke a sweat. Iam not mad at you, believe me iam not. I am sure if you met me you would like me as a person ( besides my "accent " But come on comments like that will make you no better then the monster that did this to the US.

Iam not a tree hugger i dont want to save the world. Iam a RED BLOODED person just like any of you. DO i agree with everything that the usa as a country has done? no way iam human not a robot. But i will never stand by and watch ANYONE step into my country and KILL 2600+ people and not get pissed. I would expect the same from any of you. I believe in freedom of speech so please keep your ranting and rave coming... =)

Perhaps this is SD's only saving grace - being young and intolerant/blinkered....

Maybe with some more years under your belt you will see more clearly with regards to things like this.

All the Americans I've actually met (4 to date) have been genuine, nice blokes. The guys that post here from across the pond seem to be level-headed, nice blokes.... Just cos some of them are twarts don't mean that ALL of em are. Just a case of the few spoiling it for the majority IMO. The only thing that makes me cringe tho is the latest batch of war films.... such as U-571.... Total fabrication, passed off as gospel "cos it wouldn't sell with a Brit in the lead role" Much like the Battle of Britain movie I've heard about, with Tom Cruise, purporting that an American pilot who flew 12 odd sorties (bout 3/4 of them actual combat iirc) and then killed himself crash landing his Spitfire somehow was this brilliant pilot who won the entire thing for the British..... Other than that, which is largely money-driven Hollywood rubbish, Americans.. They're ok

Personally i would say that theres easily as much wrong with this messed up country as is wrong with the USA

The US is in a very enviable position- compared to the vast majority of countries and therefore is envied

I have only ever met a few Americans, between 6-10 and all have been very pleasant people. My GF's sister was going out with an American for nearly 9 months and we got on very well indeed. Only thing I could say about them is that they were all very loud people, not that they do this on purpose, but I guess it's just in there nature.

yea its a given america is glorified in movies. it aliens attack the planet who saves the world? an american. if some killer virus is wiping out the world population do fear an american will be there to save us! I just expect it from movies. There are millions of ppl in the US to say most of them (us) are dumb is silly. I dont think you can say that unless you have met over half. Thats like me saying all brits have bad teeth, just because austin powers does. Pretty silly huh? Or every one from japan is good at math. oh well keep the ranting coming

I seriously hope that people can see the irony in my comment.

Id have to say that Im quite a fan of the USA, I absolutely loved visting the place and am a big fan of American Football and Ice Hockey (which I know is Canadian but is just as popular in America). Many of the American people ive met were extremely friendly and polite and I would certainly consider going to work there when im older.

Lets just say Id rather be with America than Europe!

well, Im gonna be controversial here.

Now I think 9/11 was a terrible event, every time I see footage of it I still cant quite belive it. but I think I can understand why these fanatics would take such action and why so many people in the middle east cheered when it happened. It all comes down to americas foreign policy, it has to be said that yes a lot of people dioes in 9/11 but that number is just a drop in the ocean of the amount of people killed directly by foreign policy in the last 20 years. (iraq/iran/contra?) Obviously people getting killed is bad anytime and I think 9/11 brought it home to a lot of western countries because the victims were just like us and not just faceless blacks/arabs/asians/south americans.

I think american is a great country, I have been twice and it has to be said they have got a lot of things right, I just think there needs to be more of a political commitment to confronting these problems without resorting to violence first. America has the biggest economy in the world, they have the capabillity to help the worlds poorest countries (as do europe) feed the people and provide education. I think action like this would go a long way to improving americas reputation around the world. would certainly be a lot better than just kicking off more wars.

and btw, it is not SOCCER!
