I would guess that the differences are something to do with IE being allowed to use activeX (I _think_ it uses it, although can't confirm) while FF cannot. This is a bit stupid as firefox can support activeX controls (if you install a 3rd party extension to allow this). Not unexpected though as obviously MS will want to force people to use IE wherever possible..
That's because OWA2003 does a browser detect and displays the full activex content if it detects that you are using IE, and the basic content otherwise. You could probably spoof the browser agent with a little work (about:config) and run the activex addin for FF and get it to display the shiny version, but in all honesty why bother? I'm fully aware of the activex addin but don't use it because, well, it's activex and scares me.

I use firefox 99.9% of the time, but there are several things I dont like about it.

    Its slow to load up,

Some websites dont load first time ( i think someone else mentioned this earlier)
I have to refresh a couple of times before it will connect. This happens a lot with
    ebuyer for some unknown reason.

Also the fonts used for Japanese are horrendus, OK this doesnt matter to you lot but
its still irritating for many people, and I wonder what its like for other languages. In
English it seems ok to me.

i've been using FF for over 2 years now...

there are a couple of problems with it...

-When it freezes for about 2 seconds upon Loading this forum [weird how its only this forum :S]

-there's no shortcut to backup bookmarks folder -so a user can back them up

-How AdBlock Isnt Default with it....
-and how still some sites dont work with it....

i wonder if its the same story on Opera..

    Vincent,

    Bookmark > Manage Bookmarks

    Brings up new window.

    Then do File > Export.

    Easy enough

I've been having problems with FF and these forums at the moment - things timing out (been unable to post, HTTP POST that is, so any replies, PMs, new threads have been a PITA or simply not working). Today it seems to have gotten worse...

(too big to put in line, and yes, I do have images turned on - for all sites - and other (VB?) forum sites are working fine in FF and IE)

I've never ever had a problem with FF apart from it doesn't always load http://www.armyjobs.mod.uk/ properly. That's one minor thing though, 99.99% of the time, it roXors.
FF > IE, in my opinion.

i've been doin it the long way- copy the bookmarks.htm from the application Data folder lol

tbh- i love FF because u block images and flash ads with AdBlock....

    Ads on here are blocked

Also it's customizable by default without installing any other program or spyware [reference to HotBar]
