    Decent Guitar?

I'm looking at buying another guitar, preferably an electric acoustic.

I've no idea on the best guitars out there and decent prices for guitars, does anyone know of any U.K based guitar dealers that have a good bargain occasionally?

My budget is pretty low - £200, so I'd even look at getting a decent guitar second hand.

Here's a couple of decen instruments in your price range -

    http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Ar...ic_Guitar.html

    http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Cr...uitars_FX.html

I've not personally played the Aria but it has a fairly good reputation, the crafters a nice elctro acoustic for the cash aswell, if you've got the oppurtunity I'd always reccomend going down to a guitar store and testing a few first before buying anything though.

There's a few online stores that often have a special offer or bargain that could be worth checking out -

    www.theflyingpiguk.com
    www.guitarstrings.co.uk
    www.gak.co.uk

After that my knowledge of elctro acoustics is fairly limited, be aware though that they can take time to play in and "settle" before you get the best sound out of them and that a soundhole cover might be a good idea if you want to play live with it as the feedback can be hard to control on stage.

I reccomend Regent guitars myself (guitars.co.uk, same site Knoxville linked to earlier). Got mine from there just over a year ago, went down to their shop in lemington-spa and basically spent the day playing with every guitar and bass in the shop before finally buying one at the end They do a great setup on them too, free if you buy a package (eg guitar+amp+bag)

    Prices aint too bad either

My Yamaha electro-acoustic was about £650 when I got it but it really is a beautiful looking and sounding guitar. That was about 5 years ago and I'm not sure about the cheaper models but from my experiences Yamaha make a decent electro-acoustic guitar

Gak, or pop into nearest soundcontrol would be your best bet, SC do good deals if you flash cash infront of them, and Gak just have alround good prices.

Agreed, my only beef with gak is the stupid amount they charge for postage tbh

yeah, the postage is harsh, but they have started to address this on the smaller items as far as i can tell.
