    c1 was harder than c2 wasn't it though i did mess up and decided that square root 3 * square root 3 = 9 for some reason. In other news "evaluate 2 positive and 2 negative impact of reality television shows upon British culture" WHAT A JOKE general studies is.
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array

    Screwed up my Maths exam (Scottish Advanced Higher). Now my uni conditional offer is @ high risk :argh:.

    I really wish the cut-off mark for A curve down enough to let me get an A, or else I'm f***ed. Wondering if around 65~70% could get an A or not. My mates all screwed up that paper so I hope I still got a chance. Only got 75% in my estimate which is not going to be very helpful for appealing.

    Freaking second-order differentiation with imaginary roots

    Good luck to everyone.
    My next exams are 29,30,31th (Geography, Chemistry, Technological Studies)

    My offer was AAB and I'm probably going to get ABA instead. I hope ICL is generous to take me in even if I get a B.

    Everyone says I worry too much. Cheers about the info

    Did Engineering Mathematics 1 yesterday (dirty engineer that I am).

    It was pretty damn hard core - funny to see the looks on people's faces though.

    Steve, that sounds similar to what my dept calls 'analytical techniques', taken in the first year. iirc it was like an GCE A Level (none of that AS crap btw) math + some bits from further math (i.e. complex numbers etc). How did it go for you?

    I'm pretty happy that I did well on all the math modules on my course (apart from prob. n' stats ewww - need to review this over summer for kicks) with a decent average, actually loved the vector calculus stuff hah.

    Oh, my Silicon Tech. exam went pretty well yesterday. It was way more 'less' numerical than the 04 & 03 past papers so it more 'explain this, discuss that draw this' but there was a nice mathematical question on estimating the distance p-type doping would occur via ion implantation... (yay for Rp and (delta)Rp) hah.

    Mike,

    Yeah it's basically A level maths & further maths wrapped together in a slightly more in depth, massively intimidating, soul destroying exam... but it went OK, all things considered.

    except none of you were lured into doing further maths only to discover half way through the course that all that meant this year was... Stats modules (s1 and S2- no further maths )because our teachers were lazy and so i'm now stuck at home trying to do stats revision which is dull as anything
