    Calling MSN Messenger experts...

The person I am trying to talk to using MSN Messenger has a Web cam. How can that person chat to me using their Webcam if I don't have one connected to my laptop at the moment?

Basically, i'm travelling at the moment and my girlfriends PC has just been set up with a webcam.

She should be able to start her webcam whether you have one or not, there's a little icon of a webcam underneath your display image, if the other person clicks that, it should start their webcam and you will be asked whether you want to start a video conversation - i see no reason why you'd have to have a webcam as well though, i think i've had one way video before..

Taz, with the latest Windows Live Messenger she should just see a little icon of a camera below her user picture. If she clicks that it'll send you an invite to view her webcam.

I can confirm that you can definately do one way cam.

I think she's started Windows Messenger (4.7) that doesn't have video capability. I'm just talking her through starting MSN Messenger via the Logitech Webcam interface.

Thanks for confirming that a one-way video call is possible.
