Yeah, been aware for a while. Very annoying and mostly more expensive. We've got the templates at work and they really are very small.

I knew they were fuggering around with it, but didn't know the exact way they were. At least it's just those 3 main categories anyway.

I didn't know the exact details but they've been advertising it on TV for a while stating that the pricing structure was changing to something to reflect the size of mail. The ad just said that everybody would recieve an information pack shortly, mine arrived today.

They first anounced that over a year ago. Basically, it good and bad. Light but large stuff will be more expensise, but small heavy things will be cheaper. Stuff like empty PC cases could be cheaper but stuff like PSUs could cost more. EDIT : or the other way around maybe.

The mail order helium-in-a-box industry is going to take a real beating over this.

the guy at the post office yesterday told me that Special Delivery was unaffected by all this, so at least that's one less thing to worry about.

Suppose it's a bit on the ludicrous side, their latest move might put A4 envelope makers out of business though as it cost more to post the letter in an A4 envelope then fold the latter and post it in an A5 envelope.

Just break your item up and put it in a really small box

Jokes aside this can only make getting served in the post office even slower than it is now bah
