OMG thats a horrible thing to happen, the Mum will end up blaming herself for something that may just have been a cry for attention gone wrong. That poor girl must have had some serious issues though.
Beer is life, life is good!
Stupid Kid. Sounds harsh. But if someone wants to kill themselves over a TV programme, then they are potentially a danger to the public and we are better off without them.
Insane tbh.
Harsh man, all kids, especially girls suffer from bouts of severe emotion when that age due to hormones. ..... Whats to say it wasnt just that?Originally Posted by james.robinson

I really doubt anyone would kill themselves simply over Big Brother - though they always say something can be the straw that broke the donkey's back - precisely because it pushed them over the edge.
I find it hard to believe that people are willing to make snap judgements over a potentially one sided article, which at best doesn't take into account other things which were going on at the time - which even the parents may not have known about.
Its not people affected by minor things that we can do without, its people that make snap decisions based on half the facts - they are the dangerous ones.
Suicide is always such a shame. In my eyes life is all you have got at the end of the day and even if its incredibly sh**e its not worth giving up.
The truth of why this girl really hung herself will probably never be known... it's bound not to really be Big Brother, but i guess the tabloids like a sensational story.
I just think that you have to be the lowest of the low to take your own life.
I dont want people who are that low about.
I think you have to BE at your lowest to consider suicide. To a girl that age, something that small could seem as if her world was ending. Yes, its a sad state of affairs, but in this age of reality TV and internet chatrooms kids no longer have role models intheir parents, kids have role models in TV.....Originally Posted by james.robinson

What is a shame, however, is that she didn't speak out about how she felt - which is often the hardest bit. That goes without saying for all social problems - from bullying to depression - it is admitting it, and perhaps facing the social stigma surrounding it - that is the hardest part. The existance of such rigid, half formed views as yours really doesn't help the situation.

would not let my own kids watch that muck anyway - not that I have any

This is the problem with reading only what the papers print and not thinking about the bigger picture, you form half arsed opinions about a subject you clearly have no knowledge about she's 11, a child, how on earth do you think that little girl was "potentially" a danger to the public? thing that scares me most is there are probably lots of other people just as ignorant as you which IMHO is more dangereous than that little girl ever could of beenOriginally Posted by james.robinson

It sounds like a cry for help gone wrong to me. I have seen enough overdoses in young women, and now getting more common, young men. It is a shame when they work, even if they were not intended to.
