    In general, I would imagine most of the people reading this thread have no intention of committing suicide. In fact I would imagine most people would say they would never commit suicide. Do you think someone who has said that they would never commit suicide has ever committed suicide later in life? Life can be great, but life can become difficult, if things become difficult for some of the people who have posted here I hope that their friends are a little more sympathetic than they appear to be.

    It has absolutely nothing to do with Big Brother in my opinion, so you can't blame it on that (no matter how much you hate it ). I think the girl must've been very aware of how fragile human life is but didn't realise what the consequences were. I wouldn't say it's a waste of life like many of you have said, this is a real reminder of the reality of things and can help us to be aware of others.

    I think perhaps something that we might agree on is that the Daily Mail's propensity for reducing the content to fit in gaudier headlines means that we shouldn't necessarily rely on them for thorough and accurate reportage?
