    Post Office Superstar!

Went to the post office today to post a motherboard back to the retailer for a refund. I put it on the scales and the woman said "thatll be £18.50 luv, is that ok?" well she could see it wasnt ok, i had just queued for 20 mins after getting soaked in that storm and i only had a tenner on me, so she said "can you just tap the scale for me please" and winked, so i did and she said "thatll be £7.50 that luv, thats better innit", "its only 1.5 grams over the 7.50 limit, itll be ok".

its not often that things like that happen (especially to me), so i would like to nominate anonymous cheerful post office counter woman for employee of the month

    Ooooh lucky you!!!

I went in to post some stuff for Jon and the woman was trying to get me to sign up to the Post Office credit card!

"Will you be paying by card?"
    "No, cash"
    "Do you use credit cards?"
"No *thinking what a nosy bint she was*
"Have you thought about signing up for a post office credit card/loan?"
    "No"
    "Do you use store cards?"
"Sodding hell! I want to post some parcels not tell you the ins and outs of me shopping habits, but no I don't, I pay cash for everything"
"Do they pay you extra for the pimping?"
    "Your not interested then?"
    "Errr what do you think!"

Ok, I know they are probably told to pimp it, but the queues in there are so long, she could of served 1 or 2 customers instead of spouting that rubbish

I used to work in a shop, and being able to do someone a good turn like that used to make my day as well, especially if they thanked me properly for it. Virtue is it's own reward, as I believe the saying goes?

Write them a letter, seriously. It means a lot when a customer writes in to management to tell them what a good employee they have (or it does if the management has any sense).

Well yeah, obviously you just say how nice and helpful she was and how you'll definitely be doing more business with that PO in the future.

Shame romulus is down, otherwise you'd see
