so i poured a large cup of boiling water on it, it flapped its wings a bit, made a mess but still flew away.

so now its sitting on the ceiling waiting to get revenge tomorrow

I want to see and hold one of those in real life though, because they aren't dangerous it could be a good experience. They don't tend to go nuts and crawl at 100mph across the walls either do they...

You'd be surprised - Malaysia is a _very_ multicultural place and as such there's a huge variance in the food offered to cater for the all the different religions/tastes. I'm thinking of buying a house out there atm.. I'll double check with my relatives over there on the veggy front and post up later

I treat the eight legged buggers like I would a ticking bomb - try to not go near it and back track if possible.

I was shocked one night when I erncountered a king sized house spider doing a Linford Christy across the lounge floor, what really surprised was when I shouted, "Where the hell do you think you are going matey?", he/it stopped, turned and seemed to stand looking at me with what must have been an arachnic blank expression. He then continued his Olympic bid by disappearing under the couch. Couldn't find him again Not pleasant, I may have to get a cat or dog, they seem to like eating them.

I used to hate spiders with a passion - even after they got crushed, I was too afraid to clean it up in case it resurrected - which funnily enough happened once, well....it was playing dead so I was gonna scoop it up until it jumped back on its feet and lept away - I was absolutely terrified and definately wouldve taken a one-inch punch in the face in favour of dealing with that spider!

Anyhoo, Im not afraid of spiders now - I did a job once in which I had spiders crawling all over me and it was unavoidable. I've even started to feel a bit of compassion now and capture spiders and let them out loose elsewhere instead of killing them - esp if everyone else wants to kill them.

My remaining fears are snakes.....and lizards . . . . eurgh, Ive only had a few encounters with them, but Im really not too sure of how to get over those! I think I need a trek in the amazon or something!
