Sounds like it'll use more memory and CPU than two concurrent Half-Life 2 sessions.

Then again, I'm no vB expert
    PHP Code:

It seems a bit OTT tbh, all we need is for a few peeps to just think a bit more about what they're typing - we don't really need it to turn into grammar-police central!

Yep I agree Stoo - The ideal outcome of this thread is for people to realise that their poorly constructed posts annoy and frustate other users and reflect badly upon Hexus.

If people can take that little bit extra time over their posts, we can make the Hexus even better!

I try my best to get my posts acceptable but must admit that I do use the odd 'txt' typing and don’t tend to capitalise my 'I's' but I do my best to get the spelling right, even to the extent of spell checking the odd word as my spelling really is that poor!

I always read through my posts when I'm typing them and then again once its been posted just to make sure it is readable, and I think that it isn’t too much to ask for others to do the same

I think you are being rude tbh (to be honest) as alot of people have problems as in are dislexic, and cant get to grips with which there, their and they're goes with what sentence, and thats only to name a few.

some people asked for a spell checker to be added when the forum got updated to help with problems like this and did it.. no, so really what was the point in asking people what they would like adding if you are not gonna read them and take them into consideration?

some people are ashamed that they have dislexia or they are having a problem with wording so they are not going to shout IV GOT A PROBLEM SO DONT RIP MY THREAD are they?

sorry i just think you are being a tad rude and not thinking of things like this.

I am dyslexic, however dyslexia doesn't affect the problems people are talking about, such as missing capilatisation or txt speak.

edit: Infact I've just noticed a prime example above I'll leave it in, but that's an example of the kind of thing that I and other dyslexics find hard to see and correct. However I don't think it affects the look or even readability of the sight, compared to txt speak or lack of punctionation/capitals/paragraphs.

I have dislexia myslef. Whenever I post anything long, I cut and paste into MS word, run the spell check, and then paste back into the reply box. It is not hard.

Click on "Go Advanced" and there is an icon with a tick and 'ABC' in the top right hand corner of the message editor. Yes you need to download and install a third party component. but that isn't a big deal

i usually use the google toolbar for spell checking when i remember. Can't install it here though, these machines are locked down tighter than a very tight thing.
