    Question Paypal payments

If you've received Paypal funds from another user, are they instantly cleared/usable ?
I ask because I just made a sale on ebay and the buyer has not contacted me yet, has zero feedback, their paypal a/c ID is different to their ebay id, and their name/address do not return a phone number on BT.com !

I may be being over-cautious, but why would they send me the money and not contact me yet, despite 2 emails, and the auction clearly stating 'Collect Only'.....
There is no way I'm sending the item until they contact me, and I know that the money is 'usable'.

    yours nervously,

Dont send the item, leave it until the funds hit your bank account before sending, that way, if its a stolen card or paypal acct, you should receive a notification in the next couple of days (usually).

edit: ive just realised that this doesnt make sense what i mean is, hold on to the item for a few days, in case the card/acct is dodgy, usually, cards or accts are found out within a couple of days and you will get an email from paypal telling you not to send the item, and that is usually in about 2 days, but ive had one after 5 days.

    OK, thanks Clunk.
Still no contact from buyer.....I'm gonna hold on to the item until the end of this week, then send the paypal funds to my bank and see what comes of that.

They might just be busy, but usually when somone hands you money for somethign their very keen to speak to you

Once the money is in your account then send it, not a moment before. Paypal isn't above taking the money back from you if their account turns out to be stolen.
