its just a prime example of why very old people shouldnt be allowed to drive!!!
did anyone watch that proggy (sorry for being vague) about old ppl driving not too long ago, i think at the end it had an old couple with an old rolls or similar. who come out of the pub baked, reverse into another car then almost get hit by a truck? or something....

My own grandmother wrote off two cars (by the looks of it) trying too park. She was kind of half in and she got annoyed and shunted the cars backwars and forwards to make room (one was a BMW 6 series). She still has her licence . I refuse to get in the car with her.

YES YES YES!! This really grinds my gears; how it is presented as an 'and finally...' funny story with the manager of the station saying that she is welcome back as soon as she is back on the road.
If I had done that while steaming drunk I would be vilified, banned and most likely fined/imprisoned. But on those occasions when I am sober I am a passably safe driver, whereas that OAP will only get steadily worse until she kills someone .
Fair play to that attendant though, he ran straight inside to see that the demolished pump was cut off (think I read that this had to be done manually or at least checked manually), whereas the natural reaction of the customers was to run over to the car to stand in the puddle of petrol
She will probably keep her licence, but will anyone insure her?
I hope every insurance company has wrote her name down on there lists entitled "idiots that shouldnt be on the road".
Also.. as the door was WIDE open when she was crashed it, I think/hope her insurance company can get out of paying, that'll teach her.
I think they were trying to ignight it before she could get outwhereas the natural reaction of the customers was to run over to the car to stand in the puddle of petrol
