Solar Garden Lights

Does anyone have any thoughts on solar lighting at all? I'm getting someone some lighting for xmas, but they all look the same to me, just at different prices. I'm wanting about 6 lights that are fairly close to ground level. The idea is to light up a path, so we know when to turn a corner etc. They won't just be to light up a bush or something, so they mustn't just be a dim spot of light that's difficult to see. I'd also like them to last until midnight if possible before they loose power.

Has anyone got experience of solar lighting, and can recommend any?

Wow - some fast posting going on there .

Do you have any experience of these though? It's easy to find some cheap and all, but I don't want to buy them if they're not any good.

My uncle's got the top ones in his garden and they are pretty good
