does anyone own a product made my logitech that they wouldnt do without?

does anyone rate the brand above others? if so why?

just interested in people's opinions about them, i have a uni project where i have to design something for this brand, a new product to fit in their range, any ideas?

I have just got off the phone to them, my mx700 keyboard failed and I couldnt get it going, so they pronounced it dead and are sending me a mx3000 as a replacement.

Considering that there is only 2 days left of the 2 year warranty, I think thats pretty good service

Oh, they did ask that I send them the battery covers from the keyboard and mouse, the feet off the keyboard and cut the usb plug off the base unit once I receive the new ones.

i've always been a fan of ms hardware, but after the abismal media centre keyboard, i may finally go to logitech for a replacement. otherwise, their forcefeedback wheels are good for gt4

My Logitech 5.1 speakers - blew me away for the money i paid and I can't see needing to change them unless i spill beer into the sub (these things happen).

Nice way of disabling the product, but also saving you (and them) the postage to return the whole thing

The only Logitech product i own is a web cam that I've never used

Although, depending on how you look at it, as SlimDevices are now owned my Logitech, that makes my SqueezeBoxes indispensable Logitec products. But I bought them way before the acquisition, so it probably doesn't count.

I forgot to add that, I have the MX revolution and aparently there is no vista support, which is a bit ropey, especially as the scroll wheel thing relies on software to turn the ratcheting mechanism on and off.

I have a Logitech Harmony remote control and it's very nice Not the most user friendly but I'm not fussed

My MX mouse is pretty special, but another vote for customer service here....On two seperate occasions I've had a fault with a product, and inside warrenty or not they've sent me a replacement very promptly.

Not for mine it doesn't, I juck push down on the wheel for a second and it switches from free flow to click scroll....and i don't have the set point software installed yet.


Logitech have been fantastic for me, my MX1000 broke well after warranty after a VERY heavy life, called them to see what they could do, they said they would replace it, great I thought, waited for the MX1000 to come back in stock, two weeks later they sent me a mail saying they would send me an MX revolution instead.

So now I have two, which reminds me I really should sell it lol

Thats not what I meant Matt, In XP, the software controls the ratchet thing, or, like you say, it can be clicked on and off. Try installing the software, youll see what I mean

MY G15 failed on Saturday, but I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The web support is one of the best I know. If you need any little bit, like mouse feet, battery covers, you know all the things that are really easy to lose They'll post them off to you free, and usually there the next day. Not many companies will do that in my experience.

I love my MX1000 and my DiNovo Keyboard (although, I'm not fussed on the mx900 that came with the keyboard).
I also use a logitech USB headset and 2 webcams (one for my main computer and one for my parents computer), which came in quite handy for calling my parents in Canada (using Skype) while they were on holiday out there for a month and were missing the grandkids (and me )
