    That was weird, I just got the Captain Planet song in my head before clicking that. I assumed it had come from something in the link but it isn't mentioned at all!

    I did a quick search for most of my favourite childhood 'toons a few months ago found the intros to quite a few including: Pole Position, Centurians, Mysterious cities of Gold (actually found the 1st episode of that), Ghostbusters , Telebugs, M.A.S.K.

    I've even managed to track a few down on dvd and now have my young nephew hooked on a few of them

    i think i still have the toys up in my loft lol, i have the transformers movie as well
    can anyone remember a cartoon that was on saturday morning itv i think when they had the slimy alien thing that had snot coming out of its nose, the characters wore some kinda of weird suit and they had weaps which bolted on them, thats all i can remember but it would be nice to remember what its called

    I can't really tell if TV was actually good back then, or (being young and naive) was overwhelmed by the novelty value, and I hadn't yet developed any kind of quality control.

    And of course, nostalgia muddies the picture yet further..
