Valentines Day!

I told the boy "only cards this year" cos he wasnt happy when i said "i cba with it this year". So i got a card on my way home last night, woke up this morning, handed it to him on his way out the door, and.... he'd left mine at work *sigh*

ach well, not that bothered really.

Just phoned him to say thanks for the (mythical) huge bunch of roses and balloon he'd had sent to my work. He was like "er...what flowers?!" haha, bless, he was dead disappointed.

My girlfriend and I work in the same office. I got into work early today and placed a bunch of roses on her chair along with a card and as I know when she arrives I had a hot cup of tea waiting too!

My other half is in Malawi until April and has been since the 16th Jan. I managed to get a valentine's day card hand delivered though

First valentines day NOT single so it's cool for me Although my gf isn't here at the mo so we celebrated it last week instead. Bought her a teddy bear (she wanted one so she can hug it when i'm not there) and made her a card and wrote a poem inside. She loved it and cried slightly - i'm so sweet

I got my other half a red leather-bound notebook with chinese engravings on it (she loves China) and I wrote her a poem in it (she loves poetry) and she loves the colour red as well which was handy. I think she liked it

Was doing a talk this morning so I had a few Valentines facts to warm up the sleepy listeners -

• Approximately 1 Billion Valentines are sent every year
• 85% of those are purchased by women
• Second biggest card sending holiday behind Christmas
• In Korea / Japan the tradition is for women to give men chocolates
• Same countries - Black Day (14th April) - Those who didn't receive any valentines get together to have noodles and black bean sauce to commiserate their singleness.

I'm lying low to be honest, even volunteered to do a shift at work tonight so no one can surprise me with anything and it will be nice and busy as I work at pizza hut. You wouldn't believe how many people come to pizza hut on this day
