ATI cards can do Nvidia Physx

Makes you wonder if you could enable it on older cards.....

Still wondering whether the performance gains from it are offset elsewhere, i.e. would disabling the on-board Physix and using an add-in Aegis card give better results?

Are you talking about Nvidia? As you can enable it with modded drivers as long as the card has CUDA, i.e. 8800 series up I believe.

And to answer my own question......there is a performance hit as it does use GPU cycles to perform the physics. A few benchmarks I have seen since left me debating its merits though, especially when considering the amount of physx-enabled titles available currently.

I think it's true. If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading about it in CustomPC. Would Nvidia drivers need to be installed alongside ATI drivers for this to work?
