    Re: 1920x1200 or 1920x1080?

ok to answer some q's that have been asked.

price range - well i have a fairly high budget but since i don't game i was looking at £200-350 range.
will mainly be pc usage as i do use my tv for movies etc. just nice to hav the option.
i feel because i dont game that i dont need some kick ass speakers so was lookin at getting some 2.0s and an ipod dock or something that would combine the 2 to save space. i hav a 2.1 set now but gettin rid as i dont hav the space and the extra cables drive me mad.
i thought usb wud be nice so that i can connect the speakers and not hav cables everywhere i can hide them behind the monitor.

    thanks again

    Re: 1920x1200 or 1920x1080?

For bit of extra the desktop space I like 1920*1200 and you could run it in *1080 for movies. For you buget your going to end up with a TN panel. If you shop around you mite get a S-PVA panel, which would be much better for movies.

S-PVA panel monitors examples Dell 2408WFP, Samsung 245T. Have a look at www.widescreengamingforum.com or www.tftcentral.co.uk (they have a useful tool where you can put in ur requirments and it will recommend some) for some more info.

Hope thats helpful in a small way
