    Question Length of Card?

My Nvidia 8800GTX has just given up the ghost after 3 years hard enjoyable gaming.

I could replace like with like but I thought time for an upgrade, I have a budget of £200 ish, and I would kindave like to stick with Nvidia, loads of cards that look good spec wise in that price range, as my 8800GTX just fits my case for length I need to be careful that I do not buy a card that is to long, where can I find the size of a card it for sure does not seem to be in the spec.

Any help or information that will help me make up my mind will be appreciated.

    Re: Length of Card?

The GTX260 and GTX280 are 10.5" long according to Nvidia:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/product...tx_260_us.html

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/product...tx_280_us.html

Seems that the GTX260 is the same length:

For your budget a GTX260 216 shader version will be the best bet:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/search?sort=pr...imit=10&page=1

    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/d...s=gtx%20260&d=

There are two versions - the slower 192 shader version and the faster 216 shader version.

Novatech have the 216 shader version with two games(FarCry2 and Mirrors Edge) and free postage from £161 onwards:

Of course if you want a longer warranty then there is this BFG one for £169.99 delivered:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150342

The slower 192 shader version is between £130 to £140.

However in the next few weeks there is supposed to be a GTX275 being launched as well:

But that will probably be hugely expensive, like the 285 is

It depends on how much the HD4890 will be. If it is priced around £200 then this will be the price of the GTX275.
