Dell's recent 24" offerings have been very good, would love one of their new 30" widescreens!
You should check out the new Samsung HDTV, it's a 24" Samsung T240HD, looks like a pretty sleek monitor, but it's geared more towards Television, I'd say, but of course supports TV, computer, and HDMI (Xbox360, PS3, etc).

I personally use the BenQ E2400HD monitor; brilliant monitor, also swings three ways (TV, computer, HDMI). It is also a 24" monitor, but I'd say this one is more for computer browsing, and HDMI usages. Unless you have HD service for cable television, usually connecting standard cable to your television/monitor is not recommended. Images get stretched/distorted, and unless you don't really care, then go ahead. I personally don't care as well so I watch TV on my monitor as well, but others can be very picky. The reason is because standard cable uses 4:3 ratio unlike these new 16:9 moniotors, and that is why even if you buy a 60" wide screen Full HD TV but use standard cable, the news will still look funny.
I also have provided the link below:

Anyway, check these monitors out, I think their both great!
By the way, always think about warranty as well, which company offers more for the price you're paying in terms of service and warranty. You don't want to be stuck with a company with 1 year warranty and bad customer service!
