    Looking for 1920X1200 Moniter

hi i want to update my current 1650X1050 moniter to a 1920X1200 (or 1080 moniter could somebody please tell me the difference) since i am getting a hd 5850 for xmas which i think is a good card for 1920X1200 resolutions. So i came here since you guys always point me in the right direction to help me find a decent 1920X1200 moniter for hopefully under £200.

    Thanks

Well theres 120 pixles difference between 1200 & 1080. While the 1080 screen may look better for films and console games 1200 monitors are generally better for pc usage such as pc games and viewing webpages, using MS Office etc.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Looking for 1920X1200 Moniter

sorry to be pedantic but its actually a 230 400 pixel difference between them.

    1920 x 1080 = 2 073 600
    1920 x 1200 = 2 304 000

I use a 1080 monitor and so far i have no complaints with it for any PC use but i agree with terb a 1920 x 1200 would be slightly better suited for allround use.

    I got this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/23-LG...-1080p-Full-HD

Which i have been very impressed with so far, especially for the price.

Do you think that this monitor is a suitable choice for 1920X1200

    Samsung SM2433BW

the only bad thing i can find about it is that some people are finding it difficult to put it into the stand.

Yeah, it's the one I was looking at a while back and a very good monitor.

Just watch out for the equivalent NW unit, which only has a D-SUB connector, no DVI-D.
