I have an email from ATi saying that 10.3 should fix the issue. I have an email from XFX telling me to wait for the 10.3 before RMA. So, I'm hanging on till then, and if they don't work I'll RMA.

Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
Can you not find any evidence of the purchase ? Otherwise, I believe that you'll have to rely on the manufacturer's warranty. take a note of the serial number and give them a call. Scan service may be able to help you with the process to follow.

No issues so far on an OCed 5850 on 10.2... may have to install these over the weekend to give them a go. Any improvement in Crysis is welcome!
The non WHQL drivers are here...

The WHQL set should be out on 24th March.

I was only ribbing you! It is good to see that Nvidia also has its peformance driver out!
Hopefully the 10.3a drivers will help. I can understand your annoyance as I would feel the same if I bought high end hardware and it had issues.
I would try gaming with the CPU at stock speeds first to see if it crashes are due to the graphics card. Also reinstalling the drivers helps sometimes.
I think he means to eliminate the CPU overclock as a possible cause of any crashes.

From everything I've read, GSODs sound like a hardware problem being masked by supposedly dodgy drivers - software taking the rap for bad hardware, rather than usually the reverse. I know a good few people with HD5000 series cards, and none of them have had any GSODs so far.
I expect to pick up a 5870 of my own in 6 weeks or so, so I'll see if they happen to me or not.
As for the drivers themselves though, I am a little annoyed that ATI dropped the idea of downloadable application profiles. It sounded like a very promising system, but perhaps unsurprisingly, they never implemented it, and no doubt the link to the application will be removed from the site in due course. More annoyingly, when I posted to complain about this on the AMD Game forum, it took mere minutes for the post to be deleted from the forums.
Ok have loaded the 10.3a driver. I won't be able to give it a full workout untilTuesday, but I'm still getting a flicker at logon.
EDIT: Ran the Heaven benchmark at 1920x1080 4xAA all features on high and average 42.8 FPS for a score of 1078. Never looked like crashing. Games on Tuesday !

Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
