Some More Space

Got rid of my bulky 19" CRT and now have the Silver one of these:

CTX S762A

Really nice, and the colour depth is brilliant. Pretty good for games as well I might add. All in all I STILL prefer a CRT for games, but hey this screen is smart, and has excellent picture quality. I now have to dust my desk though where the CRT was!

why do you still prefer a CRT for games?

Image quality and lack of ghosting. I admit, the newer TFTs are getting a lot better, and this one is an example of it.

I dunno ... just one of those things really. Kinda like moving from NVIDIA to ATI branded graphics cards

Ive never seen a CRT outdo a TFT for pin sharp image quality chrispness. If you're gonna rant on about "i obviously havent seen this £500 crt" then, no, but for budget TFTs = the win.

What res were you running on your CRT?

1280x1024 desktop (which is the same on this TFT now) games, usually 1024x768, sometimes more if I felt the need.
