I got a new piece of software bundled with my ASUS motherboard, its called.ASUS Probe, i monitor all my temps.
Remember that temperature monitoring software is only as accurate as the values it gets from the motherboard. Whether or not the motherboard is accurate depends on where the manufacturer placed the thermal diodes. In practice, I take the temperatures with a bit of salt, as they tend to the low side. You can always test it yourself, though, if you have access to a thermal probe and compare the values you get from it to those reported by the motherboard. Unfortunately, not many people have thermal probes lying around (I don't. ).
