Graphics card for dual tfts - urgent help needed please!

I've recently bought two dell 2001 fp 20" tft monitors. I am looking to buy a graphics card which will support these. i think it needs to be dual dvi??? i'm completely clueless with regards what i need.

please could anyone point me in the direction of which graohics card i could use. i do not play any games on the computer so this is not an issue.

also , i have bought the rest of my computer from http://www.microdirect.co.uk
which is due to be delivered in the next few days.

please could anyone point me in the direction of one of those graphics cards at that site so that i could add it to my package before they ship it!

    thanks
    joe

I believe the new 6800s have dual DVI, but I don't know any other g/c's which do, but thats because I'm not very knowledgable about them.

I suggest you go to www.scan.co.uk and look at the graphics cards. It'll say their output ports for each one, so you'll see if they have dual DVI.

    Hope I could Help.

If so, look at the FireGL series by ATi, or the Quadro series by Nvidia.

Other companies make g/c's that are supposed to be good, but I can't comment as I have never read reviews on them, just heard word out mouth.

OK, Joe, you haven't stated whether your other parts are for a PCI-E or an AGP system. If PCI-E, look at:

    High end: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...534&GroupID=27

    Radeon X850 XT PE

    Mid Range: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...558&GroupID=27

Radeon X800XL with dual-DVI and VIVO - frankly, unless I had money to burn, I'd fancy this one

    There aren't many low-end cards with dual-DVI

    AGP to follow

    For AGP how about:

Haven't checked prices anywhere other than Ebuyer, you might find it cheaper. PCI-E version here:

    Rich :¬)

Edit: BTW, two 20" monitors? Jammy sod

For a true 2D-only PC, you could do worse than this

Matrox are generally very good, and you should have no problem with their cards.

They are GREAT for 2D - I use a P650 dual-DVI at work with two Belinea TFTs and it's wonderful, but then I know that I never do any 3D stuff at work.
