Onboard Graphics card temperature probe - Can this be displayed in game or on LCD?

    Hello,

As you know most modern graphics cards have onboard temperature probes which provide a pretty accurate core temperature. This temperature can usually be viewed in the advanced graphics card options and with some applications.

What I'm wondering is can this value be setup so that it can be either displayed in game (much like a FPS counter) or maybe even on a case mounted LCD screen (matrix orbital etc).

At the moment it's hard for me to get an accurate reading as pausing the game, going back to the desktop to see the temperature isn't really going to provide anything that helpful.

Anyone done anything like this? Easy to do?

    Thanks,

    Mark

It's Nvidia but that's good to know. Is there an application out there that can do the same for Nvidia cards?
