Thanks man. Managed to fix it after 5 attempts, and offering sexual favours to the god of BIOS's.

At least I leart how to flash the BIOS from within windows Who would of thought editing the .bat files of PC games back in the day would of taught me anything useful.

We'll chalk that one up to experience I think.

It may of been just that particular BIOS, I dont have time to try it repeatedly though. As my only spare card is going in the post tomorrow.

Thats the highest I got at the moment, considering I got 7661 in 05 when i first got this system it works out a 49% increase from day one (and I was over the moon when I managed to clock it to get over 8000). Never thought I'd have a single card solution that could break 10000, let alone 11.

Can't get Coolbits to work at 800Mhz memory and I can't get anything else to run the core at even 700Mhz, so I went for higher core over higher memory. Powerstrip will happily run it at 695/802, like breaking 700 on the core though

Impressive score. The memory is the first I've seen benefit from RAM sinksWhen I added them to min the memory will run at 860 for benching and 840 24/7 with no problems. Then again, you can get you core higher than mine, so it's a fair tradeoff I guess. I dont think the memory is overly hot, just the stock cooler seems to dump a lot of heat on them. Which is a shame because with the memory at that 850+ you should be able to hit 12k

You're right though beating 10k with a single card is impressive, especially one that cost £160. Cant get my 7950GT above 11200 personally. monster scores for such cheap cards though.

Really happy with this great card [yes i was one of the few to get it for £160], 'only' got 4500 on 3d mark 06 due to a lowly 3200+ cpu.

Never overclocked a graphics card before, but what the hell! Got coolbits and after a bit of just used the 'optimal' button and got 760 mem by 700 clock.

    Now running 3d mark again.

My 7900GTO is under water so I know the core isn't crashing out due to heat, guessing it's voltage and I wont be voltmodding this one. The memory only has Ram sinks on it as I don't have a full cover block, might get one in the near future if I can get the cash together. 12k is a target I wont be aiming for mind. Not yet anyway.

    Mobo.

700/760 is not too shabby at all. but you really should get rid of the 3200+ and get something dual core, it will really help your 06 score, not to mention games that are multi-threaded.

Fair do's I thought that might be my next upgrade, but don't know, might get rid of the watercooling first and then get rid of everything else (mobo, cpu RAM and the like) and switch to core 2 duo, considering the cooler on the graphics card is mean to be that good maybe I can survive without water.

Haven't played with mine much yet, still looking at getting a full cover block for mine altbhough in the middle of switching jobs so cash is a bit tight.

Ended up pushing the core to 717Mhz and leaving the memory at a tad under 800Mhz. Not getting any time with the system though as I am also moving up north to Manchester so my baby is sat all alone doing nowt but gather dust.

But yeah, when I move and get every settled in a few changes should be made, new rad, hopefully get the kinks out of the water cooling loop but most importantly getting a full cover block on the GTO and see if I can get more out of it. Not found a game I can't play at good settings though, Scarface look gorgeous on it.
