That they may, but what do they know? do they have one? have they tested it? Liek the guy said in there wait until it's released and 100% correct information is released about it. As for now it's all speculation but to me looks promising.

i say that cause i thaught to everyone it looked promising? certainly a good chunk of people are holding off a 8800 to see exactly what it will do.

Its going to be fast and maybe faster then the 8800.

Still, nothing really uses that much power and I sure do hope that they start making high-end cards with VERY quiet fans (or even NO FANS) sooner, rather then later.

touch of news about the 8900 here too. so the second wave of the top end is not too far away, just have to wait for the GT version now and then i may consider a purchase

I would be less concerned about the sheer size of the card than it's reported power consumption, if you thought the 8800GTX was a bit power hungry the R600 is meant to be in a different league, mostly due to running at a higher clock speed and the fact that ATi stuff tend sot run hotter anyway.
