Vista needs startup repair with every boot

    Hey

I tried installing the x64 version of deamon tools on my vista ultimate x64.

halfway through the installation it rebooted and was stuck in an endless reboot cycle.

It still is stuck in an endless reboot cycle unless I use Vista's startup repair before every boot.

that takes a good 20 mins to to do that though.

Any ideas on how this can be sorted? It won't boot into safe mode either unless the startup repair is completed.

    Cheers

If you can get into safe mode using startup repair then try that, get into safe mode. Get up the run programs box (not sure how to do it in safe mode of vista) type 'msconfig' and remove deamontools from the start up then flush through any folders & anything u can find and remove all the various setup files.

Not sure if that will work but its worth a try!
