    Angry Dead mobo I think.....

Seems the tales of woe continue.....

Was trying to boot off of an eSATA drive that I had installed SUSE on last night so I:

    - Turned on PC
    - Hit F8 to enter boot menu
    - Choose the eSATA drive

Then I got "Error initialising drive controller"

Reboot, black screen, no beeps......turned off and on, still same.

Looks like the motherboard decided to die and yet again I am stuck with all the new P35 boards either not having 2 proper 16x PCI-E slots or require DDR3, so its either replace the board time or wait for the Blitz boards (or hopefully ABit/MSI/GigaByte can release a DDR2 P35 board with 2 full PCI-E 16x slots some time this year.....I can dream)

This was the first time I have tried eSATA at all, are there any known issues with using it on Asus boards? Or is this a purely co-incidental mobo death?

might be a one off death, doesnt sound that good though, have you done the usual bios reset, reseat everything then strip it to nothing and start going through all the fault codes?
