sleep function stopped working

hi guys, for some reason, recently...the sleep function doesnt work any more on my FZ11Z.

when i set it to sleep from the menu, or from the power button...for screen goes off for a while...but then all it brings to me is the 'locked' vista user screen. it doesnt go to the state where it's sleeping (with the power light blinking red).

any ideas?

im running vista home premium.

Sounds like something is waking your system back up from the sleep state almost as soon as it's gone to sleep (well that's one possibility!) Maybe something new you've added to the network kicking off the Wake on Lan (try turning that off in the BIOS), a new usb device maybe?

^ hiya mate, thankyou for your reply, i managed to get it working now, ur right it is something preventing it from going to sleep...if the power supply is plugged in! it never used to be like that, im guessing one of the updates has changed it. Or possibly network/LAN related. I will investigate further.
