Serial number(Customer Order Number) and software product id don't allow me to reg...

    ..ister.

    I used IE too.

I have just re-installed XP on my Matrix Inspire desktop and need the drivers as I have lost the disk. I know I copied down the correct details from the machine, but a little red message about incorrect codes keeps coming up.

Have tried using hyphens and not using hyphens. No joy.

The postcode and order number don't work either.

At the very least I'd like to know the network card type so I can install that driver first but I don't know the machine's specs.

    Help?

    ~l

what do you mean by 'incorrect codes'... is this to do with the windows product code, or a completely different one...

you may need to get a new product key from the guys you bought the Pc from as microsoft regularly set OEM keys as non-legitimate when they have been 'in the wild' for too long...

Is the network card integrated on the motherboard - ie where abouts do you plug the cable in - near the bottom of the case, or next to the usb/keyboard/mouse sockets?

do you have a spare network card (plus driver) that you could use to get onto windows update (tho i guess this wont work if the code is wrong)...

    Hi loothi,

If you haven't already posted on the other forum, this sounds like you're having problems accessing out online support tool, in which case, please email the details of the problem to weblogin@meshcomputers.com along with your order number and we'll be able to help you better there.
