How about Adobe Encore DVD? That's what I always use,

^ yea that would be good, especially if you want to design your own menu's.

if you want something very quick - i have used and can recomend VSO's ConvertXtoDVD 3. literally drag and drop nearly any video media file and it'll convert and burn in to dvd. on my Q6600 x64 vista system it takes around 15/20 mins for an average film length file.

Re: AVI / MPG to DVD

I've used AVI2DVD once which was very good I must say (took a while though). I've had problems with other apps whereby if you do anything else on the PC at the same time (no matter how trivial in terms of cpu usage) the audio and video can get out of sync which is very annoying!
    I didn't have this issue with AVI2DVD however ..

Just another vote for ConvertXtoDVD, dead simple to use - does the job really :-)
