    Have you set it up correctly?

    Pushing everything up to the highest speed because you think it'll work better, doesn't work.

    utorrent's site appears to be down (for me at least) but there's a guide there to follow;

    utorrent setup guide
    |Kata: "Read title as 'fisting'. Not sure why I clicked. Relieved, really."|
    |TAKTAK: "It was so small that mine wouldn't fit into it"|

    Thanks for the tip, i'll research it on google, and investigate the event log.

    Re: uTorrent

    As above

    Have a look for the patch for Vista's tcpip.sys half-open TCP connection limit

    patch it to say 256/512

    in bit torrent

    limit the number of global connections
    limit the number of upload slots per torrent
    limit the maximum number of active torrents
    limit each torrents upload speed, ie limit to around 75% in total
    set the half open limit in utorrent to say 200 for the 256 limit 456 for the 512 limit

    This should help, you could also try tweaking firefox's number connections

    ps if you are using a router to access to the inet a lot of them struggle with more then 192 + connections so if your swamping it you could find that's causing the issues
