    Windows 7 and Network Issues

    Hi guys,

My brother-in-law has installed the latest build of windows 7 - however it doesn't see his NV 680i network adapter.

The only way to get it back is to power is PC down, unplug and reboot - but as soon as he logs off it disappears again.

    Any ideas?

It may not be functional untill windows 7 is officially released, as it is just a beta. But yes, try installing vista drivers or googling windows 7 drivers, even try xp drivers as windows 7 is designed to be compatiable with everything.

Re: Windows 7 and Network Issues

I've found that Win 7 is a bit flaky with my Nvidia 8300 based chipset board as well. It works fine, then randomly it tells me it's connected to an unidentified public network, rather than the home network it's been running fine on the last 6 or 7 times I've switched on.

However, it did find it's own drivers for the adapter, and the Nvidia vista drivers certainly installed ok - whether they work ok is a different matter.

So try going to the Nvidia site and getting the appropriate Vista chipset drivers.
