    screen brightness always on full ?

    hi
    sisters kid has booted up his pc and some how his brightness is on full, even if we turn the contrast and the brightness down it all ways looks like it's on full.

    Try the monitor on a different computer and see if it still happens, That way we will know if its the monitor or the computer

    its deffentley the montor, the screen looks all foggy for some reasion.

    its a lcd, and the only time it's been out side is when we moved it from my room to my sisters flat and that was a few months ago

    A LCD screen's life time is often depends on the lifetime of its power supply (inverter) or the lifetime of the background LED. Therefore it seems to me that your inverter is showing you the sign that it may go off anytime from now. If it is a labtop, I would suggest you backup all the important data in case the screen blackout before its too late.
