    Motherboard VGA Problem

I have an Asus P5B-VM motherboard and the BIOS beep codes (1 long, 2 short beeps) are indicating a VGA problem (integrated graphics).

I've tried a PCI-E as well as a PCI graphics card but I can't get it to POST.

Anything else I can do or is it dead?

can you get it to BIOS? if so see if you can turn off onboard VGA mode whilst having your PCI-E graphics card plugged in

    Re: Motherboard VGA Problem

Further looking at the MB manual shows in section 2.4.4 how to change the bootup of the VGA adapter to look for the PCI slot.

Can't get to the POST stage so can't get in to the BIOS
