Added one of their friends to my list and have had no problem with him at all, although I have some issues with games invites from some of their friends. But yes a direct connection will clear things up a bit.Originally Posted by watercooled

Did you find you could xbl party with some friends, but not with others? The two friends I have the issue with also disconnected from the party twice yesterday, but I was ok which just makes it all very strange. Really hope if it is the xbl or black ops that some update is being worked on, as its starting to wear thin now.
I know this is old but the sugestion to set a static DHCP resevation hasn't been made and this would make things a lot easier for you - also are you connecting via wireless ?
I will try a a static dhcp if it works with a direct modem connection. At the moment I can connect with no problems to some friends, but with others no luck.

Its strange that we can't xbl party but if we have another friends in, then its all ok for both of us. I would have thought if there's was moderate before, then we should have been able to connect to me. Out of a friend list of 10 there are xbl party issues with 4 maybe. At the moment I can't be bothered with the hassle of taking my xbox, and also the tv downstairs to the modem.Generally thats a issue at their end not yours
And I should mention they can connect to other friends.
